
Mr. Abraham Y.L. Chan
Founder, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director
Mr. Chan is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of our Group. He is responsible for the overall strategic planning and operations of our business, the management of our research development and technological development functions. Mr. Chan has over 17 years of experience in Chinese medicine and healthcare products. Mr. Chan has been a fellow of Hong Kong Institute of Directors since 2001. Mr. Chan was a former part-time member of the central policy unit of the government of Hong Kong in 2005, 2008 and 2009 and a former non-official member of Commission on Strategic Development (Economic Development and Economic Cooperation with the Mainland) from 2005 to 2007. Since 2006, Mr. Chan has been an independent non-executive director of Belle International Holdings Limited (stock code: 1880), a company principally engaged in manufacturing, distribution and sale of shoes and footwear products, and listed on the Main Board. Since 2013, Mr. Chan has been a member of the Chinese Medicine Development Committee. Mr. Chan graduated from the University of Toronto in Canada with a bachelor’s degree in applied sciences in June 1982. Mr. Chan was accredited as a chartered engineer in the United Kingdom in October 1989 and was accredited as a professional engineer in Ontario, Canada in January 1989.
Mr. Abraham Chan is a Member of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of Guizhou Provincial Committee, a Member of Advisory Committee of Government Chinese Medicines Testing Institute (GCMTI), a Honorary Court Member of Hong Kong Baptist University, a Member of Pharmacy in Chinese Medicine Programmes Advisory Committee of Hong Kong Baptist University, a Member of School of Pharmacy Advisory Board of Chinese University of Hong Kong, a Member of Advisory board for Pharmacy Education of Hong Kong University, a Senior Member of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors (HKIoD), the Board of Director (Hong Kong Representative) of International Society of Oriental Medicine (ISOM) and the Founding Director and Former President of Modernize Chinese Medicine International Association (MCMIA). Mr. Chan is a Chartered Engineer of the United Kingdom and Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada.
